The bolt housing is glued to the casing of mine workings in the form of tendons (bolts) placed in boreholes made in the roof and sides of the excavation. The rod of the bolt is placed in the borehole and joined with the rock mass by means of glue.

The essence of the operation of this type of housing is based on the "tightening" of the rock layers of the roof, thereby reinforcing the rock mass.
